As the peak training advisory body, our role is to respond to and inform industry on current relevant topics and to monitor and improve the National Training Package.
CITC was established in 1988 as a not-for-profit organisation with representatives from the building and construction industry. The Council is made up of 25 members from employer organisations and employers; employee organisations and employees; Government; and Registered Training Organisations. As an incorporated body, the CITC is governed by Association Rules and complies with relevant regulatory requirements.
From the 25 Council membership, a 9 member Executive Committee is elected. Mr Vince Ball is the Executive Director of the CITC.
The Executive Committee meets formally every two months and the full Council meets three times a year to discuss training and development activities and initiatives within the industry.
