Jason Jennings

Lead Associate

Jason is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience in the VET sector, the construction industry, and not-for-profit organisations. Renowned for his transformative approach, Jason excels in driving organisational growth, developing sustainable business models, and building high-performing teams. 


His expertise spans business development, strategic planning, governance, project managing high-value projects and operational excellence. He is at the forefront of addressing the challenges of skill shortages and integrating emerging technologies like AI, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and Building Information Modelling (BIM) into training systems into the construction and VET industries.


Since joining the CITC in August 2024, Jason has revitalised the National Network of Construction Industry Training Advisory Bodies (ITABs), which now meets monthly to share insights and gather information on VET training developments across Australia. This initiative has strengthened the exchange of knowledge and ensured the alignment of state and territory training programs with industry needs. 


Jason’s qualifications include a Certificate IV WHS, Certificate IV Training and Assessment, Diploma of Business Management and he is currently studying a Double in Quality Auditing and Project Management. He has recently been appointed to the Building and Construction Advisory Group for BuildSkills Australia. 

Vince Ball

Lead Associate

Vince is a highly experienced VET and construction industry leader with decades of expertise spanning the construction, mining, and education sectors. As the former Executive Director of the Construction Industry Training Council (CITC), Vince played a pivotal role in advancing Vocational Education and Training (VET) and professional development for the ACT’s building and construction industry.


One of Vince’s key accomplishments was the development of the accredited Course in Asbestos Awareness, which is now mandated for all construction workers in the ACT and owned by the Office of the Work Health and Safety Commissioner. This course is cornerstone of occupational health and safety in the region, ensuring that every worker is trained before commencing work on construction sites. 


Vince’s areas of expertise encompass workforce development, competency-based career progression, quality management, organisational restructuring, and national training package development. As an accredited Lead Auditor, he has conducted internal and external audits for educational organisations, ensuring compliance and quality across systems. Vince has Diploma’s in Quality Auditing and Training and Assessment.

Jacqui Verrall 

VET Associate

Jacqui is an accomplished executive and compliance expert with over two decades of experience in the VET sector. Her leadership has consistently driven organisational excellence through efficient change management, stakeholder collaboration, and strategic project delivery. 


Jacqui’s expertise spans a range of industries, including aviation, construction, healthcare, and public safety, where she has developed and implemented compliant learner resources and accredited courses, including successfully guiding 200 trainers through GOTAFE’s Re-Registration Project through Victorian TAFE. 


She has a proven track record of maintaining a 100% success rate through audits and has been instrumental in developing accredited courses that align with complex industry standards.
With qualifications including a Graduate Certificate in Quality Assurance, Diploma of Quality Auditing, and Bachelor of Business, Jacqui’s academic credentials complement her practical expertise. 

Kerry Bell

VET Associate

Kerry is a dynamic VET Consultant with over a decade of experience in quality assurance, instructional design, and compliance management. She is a highly skilled project manager with a proven ability to transform RTOs through strategic governance frameworks and innovative learning solutions tailored to industry needs.


Her expertise spans auditing training practices, designing engaging learning materials for various delivery formats, and facilitating professional development workshops. As an MBTI-accredited practitioner, she has delivered impactful training programs in sectors ranging from construction to hospitality. 


Kerry holds a Bachelor of Social Science and multiple diplomas in training, quality auditing, and business compliance, reflecting her commitment to continuous professional development.

Angie Morgan

VET Associate

Angie is an experienced and highly regarded compliance professional with extensive expertise across VET and Higher Education. Known for her strategic oversight and hands-on approach, Angie excels in embedding robust compliance frameworks and streamlining processes that meet and exceed regulatory standards. Her career spans leadership roles in both large and complex organisations, where her ability to innovate has led to lasting operational improvements.


As Compliance Director at VFA Learning, Angie led the organisation to re-registration without non-compliances and received recognition as one of Australia’s top RTOs. Her leadership extended to designing easy to implement and user-focused policies and procedures, validation, and assessment processes and implementing effective risk management frameworks. 
Angie’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Adult Learning and Development, multiple diplomas in quality auditing and training, and certifications in finance and business

Peter Spinda

Peter Spinda - Business Operational Transformation and Innovation Associate
Peter is a seasoned business advisor and author. Having built and scaled multiple businesses from the ground up, he brings extensive firsthand experience in starting, managing, growing, and evolving businesses.


He is the Partner & CEO of Benchmark Business Advisory Pty Ltd (BBA), which supports small to medium businesses and not-for-profit organisations across Australia, tackle challenges, seize opportunities, and build more effective, profitable, and valuable entities. 


As a co-founder and Director of a digital business advisory platform powered by AI, Peter leverages a wide range of emerging technologies as well as offering research and digital transformation services to help businesses become stronger and more resilient.
Peter holds an MBA (Distinction) with a specialisation in digital transformation and is currently completing his PhD. His research focuses on the ‘psychology of digital transformation,’ exploring the relationship between a business owner’s digital mindset, their business’ digital identity, and digital transformation outcomes. 


The combination of Peter’s practical experience and academic knowledge enables him and his team to offer a comprehensive range of services, including business advisory, research, and digital transformation, complemented by expertise in emerging technologies.

Chris Smith

Business Operational Transformation and Innovation Associate

Chris is an accomplished senior Management Advisor and Business Analyst with 30 years’ experience in management, strategic business consulting, coaching & mentoring.


In 1994, he launched Meredith-Smith Pty. Ltd. to provide researched-based strategic management services rooted in the philosophy that learning and improvement must never remain static. He believes that failure to research, adapt to, and re-train on the latest technologies has far reaching implications for both individual businesses and industry.


He has worked with many large corporates, start-ups and SMEs, to provide effective outcomes that frequently outstrip the client’s expectations. As the founder and chairman of Trade Australia Corporation, Chris worked with private companies, consultants, Austrade, and the Queensland Premier’s Department, to identify, educate and place first time Australian exporters in Asian and Middle Eastern markets. 


With a solid grounding in company analysis, research and reporting, he is focused on accelerating the growth of business by identifying areas of concern and/or opportunities for exploitation and growth and then providing professional strategic and tactical guidance through the implementation stage. 


Chris is a Chartered Manager and Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders.
